    1492492 Packets FQCKE & PFUHL 20 May 1975 [29 May 1974] 21610/75 Heading B8P A cardboard or like packet, e.g. for cigarettes includes front, side and back walls 13-15 and a cover 11 pivotable on the back wall 15, which cover 11 engages in a closed condition of the packet, on an inwardly offset collar 12 formed by folding a blank from which the packet is formed into a generally Z-shaped cross-sectional configuration 20. The central portion of the Z-shaped fold includes relief aperture(s) (23), Fig. 2 (not shown), or cut-out(s) 24 in the region of the packet side walls 14, and additional relieving incisions 26 may be provided. The packet is formed by gluing together side flaps 14a, 14b, and offsetting of the collar 12 is facilitated by fold lines defining a folding strip 19.

    The front and side walls And and 12 of the collar 3 are bounded relative to the front wall 4 and the side projections 5 of the intended fold line by marking strip 13. The strip 13 serves to form (Fig. 3) the front wall 1 passing over and the side walls 7 of the Z-shaped fold 14 which is formed by marking a strip 13 between the offset edges of the front wall 4 and the side walls 7, respectively, on one side and between the front wall 11 and the side walls 12 on the other side.
    The box (Fig. 3) has gaps 15, which make it possible to recognize the Z-shaped fold 14 in cross section. The Z-shaped fold 14, as a transition between the box body 1 and the collar 3, has a closing edge 16 extending forward and to the side. The edge 16 has a thickness of two layers of material. The free edge of the lid 2 is adjacent to the closing edge 16, while, in view of the two-layer implementation, there is a transition without tab.
    In the zone of the side walls 7, the closing edge 16 extends with a slope, i.e., under the web to the coal edges of the box.
    The strip 13 in the area of the side walls 7 and 12 has discharge openings 17, which are slots running parallel to each other.
    The slots allow for a certain relative displacement between the side walls 7 and 12 with a Z-shaped fold.
    According to FIG. 4 and 5, the strip 13 passes only in the zone of the front walls 4 and 11.
    The protrusions (Fig. 4) for forming the side walls 12 of the collar 3 on one side and the side projections 5 are separated from each other by a cutting line 18.
    The side protrusion 5 has a remote protrusion 19.
    When forming the box due to the presence of a Z-shaped fold 14 in the zone of the front wall 4, the box elements forming the side walls 12 of the collar 3 are displaced in the direction of the side projections 5, so that their edges overlap each other. Pre-distance protrusion 19 folds against the inner side of the side protrusion 5. The lower edge of the side wall 7 can be connected to the distance protrusion 19 and, as a result, a double-sided edge 16 appears in the zone of the side wall 7.
    0 In the cross section, the structure in the zone of the side walls 7 is designed in such a way that the side walls 12 of the collar 3 have a lower edge between the upper edges connected to the side wall 7 of the side projections 5 and 8 and together with the remote protrusion 19, due to which 3 is stably connected to the box body 1.
    Creating a z-fold 14 can
    This is facilitated by the fact that the strip-bound folds are provided in such a way that, with the finished Z-fold fold 14, one of the bands is inside and provided with stress-relieving cuts 20.
    The superposed layers of material in the zone of the Z-shaped fold 14 are bonded by means of an adhesive of the adhesive 21 applied on one side.

    1. A cigarette box containing a front wall with a Z-shaped protrusion, external and internal side walls with cutouts in the lower part, a rear wall, a collar and a two-layer lid connected to the rear wall, so that the purpose of enhancing the quality of the box, in the upper parts of the upper side walls, are the protrusions connected to the lower part of the collar.
